We started Gymnasium to change the way the world gets fit.

We believe fitness is a gift that everyone should have and that working on it should be an enjoyable, energising and rewarding part of their routine.

To build all aspects of fitness we focus on three pillars – cardio, strength & mobility – in our expertly coached, well planned classes.

We cater for all abilities; from people with limited experience but a desire to get fit, to those looking to add a technical & competitive element to their training.

Our large space, conveniently located off Clapham High Street, is stocked with top of the range equipment and great changing, showering & communal facilities with free towels & toiletries.

We work hard to build a positive and inclusive community, as we know getting fitter is more effective and easier to stick to when done together.

We are committed to using our business as a force for good, from our impact on the environment and how we treat our staff, to how we help our broader community and so are very proud to be the only gym in the UK to be certified a B-Corp.

Athletica – mix of cardio, body weight and strength at high-intensity

Stronger – focusses on building fundamental strength with pushes, pulls and squats

Motion – flexibility, joint strength & stability

CrossFit – constantly varied mix of weightlifting, gymnastics & cardio at high-intensity

Olympic – technically complex, compound lifts

Open Gym – book a studio slot to perfect a skill, catch up a missed class or do your own workout

We have three types of membership which give access to different classes, classes are unlimited and we have two access times options; all day or evenings (after 3pm) & weekends. As a new member you can also get a discounted 3 month option on each of those.

Athletica – Access to Athletica classes

Gymnasium – Access to Athletica, Stronger, Motion classes

Gymnasium Plus – Access to Athletica, Stronger, Motion, CrossFit, Olympic & Open Gym classes

We will be hosting our third and FINAL outdoor workout for the summer on Clapham common on the Sunday 21st August @ 10am. Ending the summer fun with a MASSIVE team hunt led by @bigredolivier. Bring your friends along, we want to make it the biggest workout we've done to date.

The workout will be just next to Meghans on the Common, towards Clapham Common tube or ///ruled.radar.worth. Its a 15 minute cycle/drive from Wandsworth Gymnasium & a 15 minute walk from Clapham Gymnasium.

3rd September sees the return of the Gymnasium Games, our annual individual competition. This year we are back to where it all started at Gymnasium Clapham! We will be aiming to start at 9am but will confirm timings closer to the time. There will be 2 divisions this year, RX and Everyday.

On the weekend of the 6th and 7th August, we are running our annual 24 Hour Charity workout. 1 workout every hour on the hour for 24 hours. You can come along for a few hours or commit to the full 24.

All money raised will go towards Sharni, a fitness coach from another Wandsworth gym who was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year. Our contributions allow this incredible person to live her life to the fullest!

The first workout will start at 12pm on Saturday so be sure to get involved at any point across the 24 hours. Anyone wanting to do the whole 24, please email tim@gymnasium.fit.

*Membership Cap*

We started Gymnasium with the dream of building a gym that provides the best possible fitness experience for our community. A key part of this is ensuring that members can train in the classes they want, when they want. We don’t like crowded classes, we hate big waitlists and we want to ensure that every member gets the attention they need from our coaches.

With this in mind we have decided to cap our membership number. We will only accept new members to replace leavers and we will only be releasing a limited number of 30 days for £50 introduction offers each month.

This is a little different to the rest of our industry but we don’t do things normally.

The waitlist system will run across all our memberships. We will prioritise existing members looking to change membership type. We will then prioritize referrals from members because we know working-out with friends is much more enjoyable and builds our community and returning members.

We are really excited that Gymnasium is delivering an experience that is attracting such an epic group of people that share our vision for a fitter, happier world and we want to keep delivering on that.
