Finance & Commercial Operations.
We're looking for a commercially minded finance and operations professional to take ownership of the financial engine of Gymnasium Group. Lead, Head of or Director level role, depending on your experience and ambition.

We are deliberately open-minded about the seniority of this appointment. The role could suit an ambitious finance professional taking your first major operating leadership position, or a more experienced candidate capable of joining at Head of or Director level.
Core remit
Ownership of financial modelling, forecasting, reporting and commercial analysis, alongside meaningful involvement in operations, systems, site performance and new gym development.
The level of strategic responsibility, decision-making authority and leadership scope will reflect your experience:
- At the junior end: A high-ownership role working closely with the CEO. Strong technical and analytical foundations with rapid growth potential in a dynamic business.
- At the senior end: Greater independence, broader role in business strategy and potentially responsibility across finance, commercial operations and future growth.
This is not a spreadsheet role.
You'll understand the numbers, but you'll also understand the gyms. That means spending time across our five sites, building relationships with gym leads, understanding what drives performance and turning financial insight into practical commercial action.
You'll bring commercial clarity, financial discipline and operational grip to the business.
What we're looking for.
We are open to candidates at different stages of your careers. Your precise experience may vary, but you'll bring a strong combination of financial capability, commercial judgement and the ambition to work in a hands-on operating environment.
Possible background
- 4–7 years in accountancy, audit, transaction services, management consulting or commercial finance
- High-growth business experience
- Assistant Manager, Manager, Senior Manager, Head of Finance or Finance Director level
- Or equivalent based on scale and nature of previous experience

- Budgeting, forecasting, management accounts & cashflow expertise
- Turn complex financial information into clear decisions & practical action
